We can't just talk about values—we have to work by them.
As part of the Leavitt Group family, we’re proud to be part of a national network of independent agencies that share more than just operational resources. We share a deep belief in putting people first, doing business with integrity, and building lasting relationships—not just with our clients, but with each other.
Together, we follow seven Governing Principles that shape how we lead, how we show up for one another, and how we serve our communities. They’re not just words on a wall—they’re the compass we use when things get busy, complicated, or unclear.
1. Be Honest And Operate With Integrity
Anything short of honesty and integrity is wrong, eventually requires correction, and brings distrust, anger, inefficiency, and sorrow – often for many. Our representatives are expected to think, speak, and act with long-run view, and to swiftly correct instances where they fall short of this commitment.
2. Serve Stakeholders
Serving stakeholders is a privilege and they depend on us to be financially sound and its leaders to be honest, effective, and collegial.
3. Align Interests
To the extent possible, we structure and conduct relationships so all parties desire the same thing. Co-ownership aligns interests via a mutual desire for profit.
4. Grow Profitably
Growth brings vitality and life to a business, which attracts customers and capable colleagues. Profit brings opportunities, stability, and capacity to serve.
5. Adapt
Change is inevitable and requires a business to wisely adapt. To adapt, our leaders must be aware, curious, humble, nimble, willing to risk, responsive, and patient.
6. Enjoy
Work should contribute to the happiness of those so engaged by fostering productivity, good health, accomplishment, belonging, service, and the provision of material means towards a harmonious balance in life. Our affairs are to be ordered such that working here adds joy to life. Our leaders are committed to correct circumstances where they fall short. Each colleague bears responsibility to achieve this ideal in their own lives, and to assist colleagues to find joy in their service here.
7. Communicate With Reason And Civility
Everyone is expected to communicate in ways which are honest, effective, complete, efficient, kind, and free from anger or malice. Acknowledgment of shortcomings and sincere apologies are part of effective communication.
These principles are more than ideals—they’re how we choose to operate every single day. Whether we’re helping a client navigate a tricky renewal or supporting a coworker on a busy Friday afternoon, these values guide how we treat people and how we approach our work.
As we continue to grow alongside Leavitt Group and our partner agencies, we’re proud to hold fast to these beliefs. They’ve helped us build trust with our clients, create a supportive team culture, and stay grounded in what really matters: doing good work with good people.
