Pyron Group Insurance, an independent insurance agency in Jackson, MS is searching for a new commercial lines team leader.

Lead a statewide agency’s commercial team managing commercial account managers/customer service and work directly with producers.

An active property & casualty insurance license is a must.

  • Start by leading existing commercial account managers. Assess and streamline existing commercial service procedures. Design and implement new service policies and procedures as needed
  • Assist producers with marketing new business risks and remarketing accounts as needed
  • Nurture relationships with carriers and brokers

In addition to managing, the commercial team leader will sometimes need to assist account managers and producers in some of the following areas.

 

  • Participate in weekly team meetings
  • Administrative reporting projects and spreadsheets
  • Marketing new business and renewal accounts
  • Nurture business relationships with carriers and brokers
  • Accounting billing Inquiries, invoicing, premium breakdowns, etc.
  • Claims report, file, and follow up until closed
  • Renewals review file, renewal letters to clients, market account if needed, renewal summaries for producers as requested
  • Assist clients with questions and concerns
  • Issue certificates/binders
  • Issue bonds
  • Communicate with clients via email, telephone, text, and mail
  • Procure endorsements per client request

Job Specifics

Experience
3-5 years of experience working with an independent agency or brokerage

License/Certification
Active Property and Casualty License in MS or the ability to be licensed quickly

Skills

  • Data Entry and online quoting experience
  • Experience using an agency management system. Experience with Vertafore’s AMS 360 is preferred but not required
  • Basic Windows environment skills
  • Microsoft Office suite experience (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance terminology, coverages, policies, and procedures
  • 1 – 3 years experience in a similar position
  • Preferred Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business or finance-related discipline or commensurate experience
  • HS diploma or GED at minimum
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Schedule
8 hours Monday – Friday
